Established in 1922, Hotel Tabard Inn is the oldest continuously operating inn in Washington, DC. Located on a quiet street in Dupont Circle, the property encompasses three Victorian townhouses. The hotel is within walking distance to the White House, National Mall, Smithsonians, and Embassy Row. On-site restaurant serves seasonal and local menu items. The property features a garden, bar, terrace, and fireplace in the lobby. Live jazz performances occur Sundays and Mondays from 6:00-8:30 pm. Private event spaces accommodate up to 70 guests for dining and 115 guests for receptions. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the nearest airport.

The inn offers more than two dozen unique guest rooms, each with vintage furniture and artwork. Room types include Traditional Rooms with queen or king beds, Petite Rooms with full beds (some with desks), Signature Room Suites with two double beds, Budget Single Rooms with shared bathrooms, and Penthouse Suites featuring king beds, double beds, and seating areas. Room assignments are finalized the night before arrival. Each room has a private bathroom (except Budget Singles which share 1.5 bathrooms). Original non-working fireplaces are featured in select rooms.

My wife and I loved our romantic getaway! The hotel is charming, oozing character in a cool victorian mystery kind of way. The staff were splendid. Breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect for exploring DC. Only tiny thing - the bed and pillows could use an upgrade, but we still slept well.
